Deggy System High Performance: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) 1 - What type of cameras can I use with the Deggy DSHP DVR? Our system is compatible with any analog camera. This means that any camera that can be connected to an analog system (multiplexer, VCR or monitor) can be connected to our system. This makes an upgrade from analog to digital a very simple procedure. 2 - Can I monitor the Deggy DSHP DVR system remotely? Yes, the DSHP DVR system can be monitored remotely using basically any type of communication available: regular phone line, ISDN, ADSL, LAN and TCP/IP. It only requires a Remote DSHP software to be installed on the remote computer. 3 - Will I lose the "real time" visualization I currently have with my old analog system (multiplexer)? No. As a matter of fact our system can outperform an analog system in both visualization and recording speed. 4 - How many hours does the system record? It depends on a lot of factors like recording speed, hard drive size and compression size. We use as guideline the following: using optimal compression with highest recording speed it takes aproximately 1 gigabyte of hard drive space per hour of recording. So, a 40 gig hard drive will record aproximately 38 hours of live picture using 16 cameras. Keep in mind that by recording only when movement is detected or an alarm is triggered the recording time improves enormously. |
